The Iris Nebula is a reflection nebula in the constellation of Cepheus. NGC7023 consists of the starcluster withing the nebula that is responsible for the blue reflection that is visible.

Distance to earth: 1’300 lightyears
Apparent size: 15 arcminutes (0.5 x the moon)
